Our Mission
Rising Brook Ground Force is a community-led group dedicated to improving and protecting the green spaces across Rising Brook and the surrounding areas through local outreach initiatives.
Our mission is to bring people together to enhance our local environment, strengthen community pride, and create healthier outdoor spaces for everyone to enjoy.
We take practical action to care for our area:
🌿 Planting trees and native plants
💧 Clearing rubbish and debris from the brook
🐝 Creating and maintaining habitats for pollinators
🧹 Keeping paths, parks, and shared spaces clean and welcoming
🤝 Encouraging local residents to get involved and explore volunteer opportunities to make a difference.
We believe that small, consistent actions can transform our neighbourhood into a greener, cleaner, safer, and more vibrant place. Whether you enjoy nature, want to help wildlife, or simply care about Rising Brook’s outdoor spaces, there’s a place for you in our community effort.

Action Teams
Whether it’s planting spring bulbs, wading in the brook to clear debris, creating log-piles, or picking up litter, our Action Teams can be seen in the local area nearly every Saturday and Monday afternoons. These volunteer opportunities allow folk to get involved locally, with some extra keen individuals participating on both days. It’s a great way to engage in local outreach and maybe get a bit fitter.
